Week 3 Quarterbacks

Alright Fantasy Football Fans, Here we go with week 3. Now that the smoke is clearing, we can see the difference between the Fantasy Mags and the real deal. Let’s start with Quarterbacks as everyone usually have more than one that they’d like.

If you’ve been with me since the get go, you know that I’ve been all over Matt Schuab as the stud that nobody wants to let their mare get near. If you listened to me in weeks one and two, then you due for some pony treats sometime in April.

On the miss side of things, I guess Mr. McNabb’s knee is hurting much worse than we thought it was. People are sending me letters about Reggie Brown at a clip faster than O.J. can turn bail money.

Here we go for the Signal Callers

Carson Palmer

Told you last week that he’d have a better day than Manning. You need me to tell you to put him in against the Natti? Fugetaboutit. Palmer might rewrite the history books this year.

Peyton Manning

On the Road with Jack Kerouac in Houston matters nothing to the man who is tired of hearing about how the Patriots are the better team and that Tom Brady has the most tools in football.

Jason Campbell

The Kid is going to shred the Giants this weekend. If he’s on your bench let him in their and play. With Santana Moss starting to click and Chris Cooley letting the big fella out of Auburn know it’s ok to dump it off, the light has gone on and it feels so good. Let all of your Redskins fly this week.

Tom Brady

Buffalo Bill won’t you come out tonight? No chance for these guys. The game might be over by half time and Tom Poster Boy is going to light it up again. No way Big Bad Bill takes his foot off the metal.

Matt Leinart

I know he’s playing the Ravens on the road, but there’s this nagging feeling, like something you wake up to when it’s too late only now its not to late, that Matt is going to take advantage of an over aggressive Baltimore Defense and have a couple of Long Scores this week.

Big Ben

The Niners are coming to town and they don’t travel well. Couple that with the fact that the Steelers are starting to do as they please. Besides, those new uniforms were so sick they look like a team that just walked out of a video game and were about to destroy for fun. The villains you love to cheer for are back.

Donavan McNabb

Well this is it. Either the love affair ends here and you hand him a suitcase or you give him one last shot. At home against the Lions is his best chance to make good. No need to bench him now as he probably cost you a bunch. However, it’s early enough in the season to see just what you have in your team. Remember, you have to talk with your players and make sure they’re for real even though they’re not. But they are.

They are.

Jake Delhome

Atlanta is playing for next year already. Young coach. Team can’t do a think Joey Harrington knowing he’s no good and that they got someone who isn’t any good either but is going to take his job anyway. We all work for a living, you know how that feels?
Jake and Mr. Smith are going to have an all you can eat Jimmy Buffet on Sunday. Everyone is invited.

Tony Romo

Don’t be afraid of the Bears. The Cowboys are ready to take the NFC outright and this is the game where they deliver. Remember to all of you who slept on Romo on draft day: T.O. is still one of the best wideouts in the game so the man throwing it to him is going to look like he should be printed on Money. Dallas is back, sorry NFC East fans.

Vince Young

Vince, next year, I’m going to have you just under Manning and Carson because I believe you are possibly the best football player in the NFL right now. I mean, this guy is Jordan like because he makes his team better, no matter who is around him, and wills them to victory. So sick.

KEEP YOUR HELMET ON KID

Derrick Anderson

Why is everyone so surprised the Raiders D is giving up big plays. The Raiders can be had and have been being had all season long. Doom hangs around the silver and black like that guy in the office with a hunch who carries his plastic water cup slowly away from his desk and taps his knuckles to music that isn’t playing.

Drew Breese

When I see it, I’ll believe it. The Saints are way off and Drew misses big Joe Horn who used to slap himself in the face to get ready for games. Did he slap himself or did somebody else slap him. Monday night he will be at home and pumped up, but Vince Young and the Titans will be waiting. Remember the Titans.

Matt Hasselbeck

I think Seattle is going to try to ground control to major Tom this game away, but Matt always tosses a few into the Zone. If the Browns can look that good against the Natti, the Hawks are going to be adequate. This is the week that Matt will do you right.

NO NO SON, I SAID YOU CAN’T WIN, NOT GET IN!

Raiders QBs – I told you all year long and I’m telling you again. Stay away.

Jay Cutler

Jacksonville is going to smash the young Broncos and they have seen Travis Henry so many times before. No way Cutler goes off this week. Just don’t feel it. If you have somewhere else to go, then go there, but the kid almost lost to the Raiders last week.

Alex Smith

You don’t need me to tell you anything about this guy. Third year #1 pick. Maybe McNabb was right. Where is the media with this kid anyways.

Rex Grossman

Dallas is going to do a number on him. Besides, they just signed a very mad ex employee who would like nothing better than to light Grossman up and tell all his new mates about how they do things in Chicago.

As always, please post any questions about your own team and I’ll be glad to answer. Look for Wide Receivers on Thursday.

Why is the title WRs when it deals with QBs :).

So far, I'm 2-0. This week's big decision is the QB: either Hasselbeck OR Delhomme. I keep switching the two. Both should have good games... but which way to go??

Delhomme...Carolina cannot run the ball to save their life - don't count on Hasselbeck duplicating the Browns success - Coach Lewis will have the Bengals motivated.

I'm starting Jason Campbell over Leinart - I have that Leinart is going to get smacked around feeling against Baltimore (he has NO offensive line!)

Jason,

I think any QB starting against the Natti, especially what Anderson and the Browns did againt them, must start. With Carolina, I think they'll get up early on Atlanta and play it safe and run it all day long.

Andy,

Not sure how you can say Carolina can't run to save thier lives..with Foster and Williams, they have the Ground game - week 1 showed that.

As for Lewis Motivating his D - hasn't been there for years now, it's not going to come in one week.

The Line in Vegas is over 50 on this one.

I'm trying to decide between starting Kitna against a depleted and demoralized Eagles DB or Jason Campbell and a really bad Giants D. Any thoughts?

I would go with Campbell on this because he is at home vs. the Giants while Kitna is coming off a concussion and is away at Philly.

Both are good starts but I think Campbell is good for more yars and more big plays, especially to Moss.
