Week 1 Quarterbacks - Starters and Bench Warmers

All the comments coming in are great. I'll still answer specific questions up to 5:00 P.M EST. Here are the QBs for this week. We're building a nice Fantasy Community here. Please keep commenting and, if you have any suggestions, please let me know.

WEEK ONE - QBs

Peyton Manning

What? WHAT?

Drew Brees

Drew will have to match Manning toss for toss, which sounds a little strange, but hey, they guys are from Nawlins, right? Anyhow, Drew is going to have another monster year this year. He has improved every year he's been a QB and has his sight set on a ring (and a possible match up with San Diego). He's as tough as Tom Brady so now we're going to see if he's consistent.

Mr. McNabb

I don't think Green Bay's going to give it up like it's prom night, but McNabb will get his as the defense tires out late in the game. Expect some big bombs and many happy returns for those of you who waited until the 3rd round after picking up a couple of Running Backs for the vet who no longer plays at the vet. Let your Eagles fly this week.

Matt Leinart

This game is always a shootout for the Birds – so they new look risers out of phoenix will look to make an early claim on the NFC west. If not for the other sweet match ups this week, Leinart might be on the top of this list. I'm not using last years stats to talk about this year's players, but if you want to look for yourself, go ahead. Matt starts his MVP quest right here.

Ben Roethlisberger

If you've been reading my blog, you know that I think Big Ben and the Steelers are the poor man's Colts this year. Against the Browns, the Steelers will open things up like a 5 year old on Christmas morning. Somewhere on the wire this morning I heard that the Browns starting Defensive Back Leigh Boddon was arrested recently and does not know if he will start on Sunday. Doesn't matter. Ben will DOMINATE in this game.

Carson Palmer

Still gotta start him vs. the Ravens. Never sit your studs. It will hurt you more times than it hurts. Remember, you have to treat this as a real team and field the players you think have the best chance at winning. Carson is the 2nd best QB in the game and will do just fine on Monday night.

Tom Brady

Nothing wrong with Vanilla Ice Cream, even if you drop it now and then and it gathers a little Moss.

Matt Hasselback

Seattle dominates at home and Matt is really enjoying being healthy and underappreciatted. Look for all of the Seahawks to respond well to the challenge this year. Matt will be fine, even with the loss of Mr. D. Jackson. With Big Shaun carving up yards, Hesselbeck will be primed to toss those 17 yard touchdowns at least twice on Sunday.

Tony Romo

He's going to shred the Giants. Look for a big day and a sigh of relief at the end of the game with the knowledge that last year is finally behind him. Besides, you just know T.O. is going to have some fun. He always does.

Matt Schuab

Like this guy. Like the Texans this year. Do not like KC at all. Look for 250 and a couple of scores – then look for me to tell me I was right.

GIVE 'EM A CHANCE

Eli Manning

OK. OK little brother, we're going to let you play because it's early and you seem to come out when everyone is healthy. Nobody else around, so look for Manning to find what he can for a few scores in what should be a high scoring game in the suddenly wild NFC East. Yikes.

David Gerrard

He's happy to be starting and even happier to be doing it against the Titans. The running game will open it up and the Titans have nobody to stop him. Should surprise a few people this week.

Steve McNair

Not that McNair is getting better with age, but it's the Natti on Monday night and that means a feast for all. Enjoy the Ravens or get them never more.

Phillip Rivers

Even against Chicago, I say the Kid still gets his. The line will be stacked against LT and Rivers will take what the Defense gives them. Plenty of game film to study and there was plenty of time to study it.

WHERE ARE YOU GOING, Buddy,

Alex Smith

Even against the Cardinals I just don't believe. Gore's hand is broken. Broken. That will come into play in the short passing game. Don't like it.

Jake Delhome

Not this early and not this week. St. Louis has something to prove on Defense and, aside from a few big plays to Steve Smith, they should do it against Carolina.

Any Brown QB

Coin flip. Coin flip!

Al Davis

They still have not named a starter. If Caulpepper gets the nod before tonight, pull the trigger. If not, then well, by now you should know that the black hole is a mysterious place.

J.P. Lossman

I think the kid will have a great year, but Denver has two of the best DB s in the game. There has to be somewhere else to turn for you.

Hi Stal,

For week 2 should I play:

Ronnie Brown, Tatum Bell, or that Ward kid from NY Giants along with McGahee?

Your thoughts?

Lisa
