Vince Young - You Better Believe

The pre season is done but there's much work to be done.

I understand that many of you are still mock drafting, collapsing the ESPN window when your boss walks by and looks over your shoulder, but you can still work.

Vince Young. Take him to the bank. You can probably wait till the mid to late rounds after you have your 2 RBS and 2 WRs to take a QB. You might even be able to add the Bears Defense for a little extra soup with your meal. But know this: Vince Young is not just a great athlete, he's an outstanding QB and a leader. He makes those around him better.

The knock on him this year is that he doesn't have th play makers around him to produce great stats, but did he at Texas? No. Yet he still lead those amazing drives that gave the Longhorns their national championship.

Young has the Jodard type of leadership charisma where his team will follow him into battle and fight till the death because they know they have a chance to come out with a victory. He is Lawrence of Arabia with a swagger to him.

While others will spend early round picks on the high tier of RBs:

Manning
Palmer
Bulger
McNabb

ETC, the smart fantasy owner will sit back and grab Young. He's get you a notch or two in the box score each week, which, if you have solid receivers and RBs, is all you need. Come fantasy play off time, QBs don't win you games. All they need to do is put up points to compliment your Running Back team.

You can see Young going through his progressions as he looks at the field. He is not like Mike Vick, but more like a more athletic Randell Cunningham, which is a dangerous though.

Don't believe the hype with most of these hacks saying negative thoughts against Young. They don't see the light. Next year, he'll be below Manning and Palmer. The Titans are not a loosing organization. Jeff Fisher makes players better and his system produces points. Even Mr.l White is starting to come around.

Go to NFL. com and watch the highlights from last night's game. Sure, it was pre- season, but look at the presence that Young has on the field. He is a commander and one that you should be proud to have on your squad.

Stal-

Thanks for dropping by my blog. I'm a big fantasy football fan and am happy to have another FFL blog to read.

To answer your question, I have Betts (but not Portis) on both my teams. And I have enough depth to not have to start him.

I'm about to post my complete rosters on my blog.

Enjoy!

I think Betts is going to have a great year. Thought so even before the Skins traded to improve their line. Even if Portis does start, Betts should get goal line carries to keep Clinton Healthy and in costume.
